       World Metrology Day, 5.20

For the general public, May 20 is a romantic occasion to express affection; but for metrology professionals worldwide, this date carries over a century of industry significance: the signing of the Metre Convention in 1875 laid the foundation for a globally unified measurement system, and since 1999, May 20 has been officially designated as "World Metrology Day." This year's Chinese theme, "Metrology: The Cornerstone of Trust," aptly captures the industry's core essence — "upholding trust with pinpoint accuracy."

With this shared understanding, industry colleagues gathered today at the 8th China International Metrology Expo 2026 — held for the first time in Beijing, this is the highest-profile metrology industry event in northern China this year and a key platform for technical exchange and demand alignment. Panran, with over 30 years of experience in thermal metrology and calibration instruments, has arrived with its core technological achievements, responding to the industry's call for "metrology as a foundation of trust" with tangible products.

Exciting Scene from the Expo

On the first day of the expo, Panran's booth welcomed over a hundred industry peers who stopped by for in-depth discussions. Long-time customers visited to discuss annual cooperation needs, while technical experts from various metrology institutes, aerospace, energy, high-speed rail, and other sectors came to explore customized thermal calibration solutions. All products on display attracted significant attention, with two models generating the most inquiries.

The newly launched PR556A Self-contained Micro Thermobath was undoubtedly the "star attraction." Industry clients familiar with thermal calibration equipment were often surprised to learn that the "fully loaded unit, including working medium, weighs only 4.2 kg and stands just 23.5 cm tall — easily held in one hand." Many immediately picked it up to feel the weight, and could not help remarking, "It's lighter than my daily commuter laptop." Within just half a day, multiple metrology institutions and industrial clients had made on-site appointments for future sampling.

The soon-to-be-officially-released ZRJ-13 Series Intelligent Thermal Instrument Calibration System was another highly anticipated exhibit, especially among existing Panran ZRJ series customers, many of whom visited specifically to inquire about its progress.

As an iterative upgrade to the series, this system redefines temperature calibration and testing efficiency through high integration. It eliminates the cumbersome combination of "electrical measuring instruments + scanner," is ready to deploy right out of the box, and can be cascaded to expand up to 100 channels. It can independently coordinate with constant-temperature sources to complete calibrations without an upper computer. With key-press quick-connect terminals, the need for screw tightening is eliminated, significantly improving calibration efficiency. Many laboratory customers with batch calibration needs engaged directly with the technical team to discuss adaptation solutions — all expressing great anticipation for the product's official release.

The enthusiastic response at the expo is a direct reflection of the market's recognition of Panran's technological direction. For over 30 years, Panran has been deeply rooted in the thermal metrology track, adhering to "precision and reliability" as its core principle. All technological iterations and product innovations are honed around actual industry needs, faithfully fulfilling the industry mission of "metrology as the cornerstone of trust."

This year's China International Metrology Expo will run until May 22. Panran's exhibition area is located at Hall 8, Booths B081-084, open throughout the day. Colleagues in the thermal metrology field are warmly welcome to visit and exchange ideas, exploring the future direction of industry advancement. Going forward, Panran will continue to push core technologies, providing more reliable thermal metrology solutions across the entire industrial chain and contributing to the high-quality development of the metrology industry.
